Me: hello.

Teacher: Hello. Welcome to my class. My name is T. What's your name?

M: Im Ken.

T: What do you want me to call you?

M: Just Ken is fine. Please call me Ken.

T: Okay. Nice to meet you, Ken.

M: Nice to meet you, too, T.

T: How are you, Ken?

M: Im well. How about yourself?

T: Im fine! Thank you for asking me.

T: This is our first time, so let me ask you some questions.

M: Sure.

T: Do you like travelling?

M: Yeah. I quite like travelling.

T: Have you ever been abroad for travelling?

M: Yes, I have. I've been to Cambodia and Thailand.

T: Oh, I see. That's nice. What was special there?

M: Well, I found the culture in Thailand quite interesting. Particularly, the street foods were really new to me. I mean, usually, there isn't any street shop in Japan that is selling local food. So it was a really new experience. I ate a lot of Thai foods and fruits as well.

※street shop

T: That's interesting. Thank you for sharing.

※thank you for sharing はNCの先生がよく使います。

T: By the way, I've also been to Thailand.

M: Oh, really?

T: I've been to other countries as well. I can speak Tagalog, English, Chinese, and Spanish fluently and a little Japanese.

M: That's amazing. You are so talented. I think the Philippinos are good learners of language. I've heard that there are two languages in the Philippines. The one is spoken in Cebu, right?

T: Yeah, right.

M: Im just wondering if you've got any problem when communicating with the people in Cebu?

T: No. Everyone can speak Tagalog, which is the standard language in the Philippines. It's like Engish in the world.

M: I see. So people speak three or two languages at least. That's nice.

T: By the way, you're speaking with British accent. How did you learn the accent?

M: Oh, do you think so? Actually I studied in England for a year. That's why maybe?

T: You were in England! Amazing! How was your experience?

M: it was lovely of course. It was my first time to live in another county, and I came across so many different cultures and made a lot of friends from various parts of the world. I hadn't seen so many different kinds of people in Japan. Everything was new to me in England at that time.

T: That's so nice. Ken, I also can do British accent. Can I just try?(イギリス英語のアクセントで)

M: hahaha. Your British accent is cool.

T: Hahaha. What's your job, Ken?

Me: Im a gangster.

T: Oh, I see. Can you tell me about your job?

Me: Im collecting a variety of drugs around the world, and selling them to people. I can earn a lot of money.

T: Okay. Interesting. This is our secret. What else?

M: I also import stuff illegally from other countries, including rare animals which are endangered. It's a really lucrative business. hahaha.

T: Ok. That's good! How do you manage it?

M: There are several branches around the world. My job is easy. I basically tell the people there what to do. They can do everything. All I have to do is just instruct them from here. It's really safe. lol

T: Amazing! Can you name some animal?

M: Siberian tiger. They are quite popular and can sell at a high price.

T: Is there any device that you are using for communication?

Me: Well, smartphone!

Me: Umm... Excuse me? I was just being silly. Sorry for telling a lie. hahaha

T: Hahaha. I know you were joking. I majored in psychology.

Me: Wow! So you can tell it from my facial expression, can't you?

T: Exactly. Also, your profile says you're an English teacher.

Me: Yeah. That's why you didn't look surprised at all. Honestly I was trying not to laugh, but I couldn't help it. Why didn't you tell me, like, "you are lying"?

T: Because it was actually interesting listening to your story, and my job is to make students speak.

M: I think you are a lovely teacher. Im really sorry for telling a stupid lie!
